Creation Stained Glass Window
The Facts
The Creation window at the West End of the Cathedral is part of the scheme installed by Clayton and Bell between 1882 and 1925. It was given in memory of John Wollaston Greene (1869-1925), who was the first registrar of the diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

- John Wollaston Greene's wife, Eva, was the first female mayor of Bury St Edmunds.
The Story
This very large window tells the story that is in the Bible of when God created the heavens and the earth. It says, God worked for six days and on the seventh day he rested.
